5 tips for the perfect morning

To start the day truly productive and full of energy, you need a solid morning routine. Starting the day under stress can drag down your whole day and your mood. So Young Hustle put together 5 tips to help you start the day more positive and more energized.
1. No snooze button.
Almost everyone gets woken up by their smartphone these days, and the snooze button is more popular than ever. Excessive "snoozing" only makes you more sluggish in the morning and gives you way too much time to overthink. "Oh no, it's Monday again, this is going to be a long, exhausting day," or "There's so much to do today, I'd rather just stay in bed" — those are the thoughts that inevitably show up. Skip the snooze button and get up immediately.
2. Success journal
You know what nearly every successful person has in common? They keep a success journal. They write down their goals, their visions, their thoughts, and their wins every day. So a success journal should be part of your morning routine too. Sit down at your desk for ten focused minutes every morning and put your thoughts into a notebook or success journal. You can write down what you're grateful for or what makes you happy, what your goals are and the wins you've already had. A success journal has plenty of upsides. You visualize your goals and create an overview of your current emotional state every morning. By writing down your thoughts and feelings you get more clarity and can focus better. On top of that, you boost your self-confidence enormously, because you have your wins, feelings, and emotions clearly in front of you.
3. Workout in the morning
If you push yourself to get up a bit earlier and start the day with a workout, you get rewarded with a long list of positive changes. A morning workout makes you wide awake and reduces stress. You need less coffee and your wellbeing improves. If you want to lose weight, you can get better results training early in the morning than training in the evening. The weight-reducing effect comes from how physical activity helps regulate appetite. If you're now thinking you have to do at least 45 minutes of exercise every morning, you're wrong — 15-20 minutes of strength and stretching every morning is plenty. As you can see, a morning workout is all upside. Try it tomorrow morning and you'll see it's worth it.
4. Drink plenty of water.
Drink at least 0.5 to 1 liter every morning before you eat anything! It's important to drink on an empty stomach. You reduce hunger, which means you eat less. On top of that, the toxins that build up overnight get flushed out. Another upside: your metabolism gets going. Water gives your cells the fluid they need to work smoothly — a non-negotiable for a functional metabolism. Plus, your body burns calories processing the water. A big chunk of that goes to warming the cool water up to body temperature.
5. Meditation
The morning is the best time to meditate. Right after waking up, while you're still drifting between sleep and full awake, you're at your most receptive. You can use that receptive window to rewire yourself with specific affirmations toward something positive, so your day turns out the way you want it to. You don't need more than ten minutes for it. To support you, you can put on a YouTube video with calming music. Try to spend at least 10 minutes focusing on your vision and your positive future self.
